Our Story & Timeline
Hancock Aviation was founded in 2014 by Holton Hancock, a corporate pilot who kept seeing the same gap from the left seat. Aircraft owners were getting generic service and were left managing the details themselves. He started the company to give them a single point of contact who understood the airplane, the mission, and the economics behind both. Twelve years later, Hancock Aviation is a multi-faceted aircraft sales and service company based at Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport, serving turbine and piston owners across the Gulf South and nationwide.
2014
Hancock Aviation is founded, offering concierge aircraft management to owners and operators.
2015
Launch of full-service aircraft sales and acquisitions.
2017
Addition of aircraft appraisal services, giving owners independent valuations backed by real transaction data.
2019
Hancock Aviation enters the aircraft maintenance space, opening its own shop and bringing airframe, engine, and avionics work in-house for the first time.
2026
Hancock Aviation purchases and moves into its own facility at 4041 Chuck Yeager Avenue on Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport, expanding hangar and shop capacity for turbine corporate aircraft.
