Turnkey Aircraft Management at Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport

You should get to enjoy your aircraft without running a flight department on the side. Hancock Aviation offers fully turnkey aircraft management for turbine and piston owners in Baton Rouge, across the Gulf South and nationwide. You keep full use of your aircraft. We take on the crew, the maintenance, the scheduling, the records, the insurance, the bills and the hangar, and you have one team to call for all of it.

Hancock Aviation manages aircraft from pistons to Gulfstreams for owners across the country, with one point of contact who knows your aircraft and your mission.

One point of contact for everything your aircraft needs

Holton Hancock founded Hancock Aviation in 2014 as a corporate pilot who kept seeing the same gap from the left seat. Owners were getting generic service and were left to manage the details themselves. Concierge aircraft management was the first service we offered, and it is still built on the same idea: you call one person who knows your aircraft, your mission and the economics behind both, and that person gets it handled.

Today we manage from our own facility at 4041 Chuck Yeager Avenue on Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (KBTR), with a team that covers maintenance, parts, brokerage and customer service under one roof.

What is included

Our management service is turnkey. Every managed aircraft gets the full service below, tailored to how you fly.

Dedicated point of contact

One person at Hancock Aviation knows your aircraft and handles your requests from start to finish.

Maintenance management and tracking

We track every inspection, due item and airworthiness requirement, plan maintenance around your flying and coordinate the work so your aircraft is ready when you are.

Our in-house maintenance shop

Most work is done down the hall in our own shop by FAA certified A&P mechanics, so the people tracking your maintenance work alongside the people performing it. When work calls for an outside or factory facility, we coordinate that too.

Aircraft records

We keep your logbooks and maintenance records complete, organized and ready for inspections, audits or a future sale.

Crew sourcing and management

We find, vet and manage qualified pilots for your aircraft, and coordinate their schedules, recurrent training and currency.

Scheduling and trip support

Tell us where and when you want to go. We schedule the aircraft and crew and handle the trip details, from planning and fuel to ground arrangements at your destination.

Insurance coordination

We work with your insurance broker on coverage, renewals and pilot requirements so your policy matches how the aircraft is actually flown.

Budgeting and monthly owner reporting

We build an operating budget with you and send monthly owner reports that show what was spent, where and why. You always know what your aircraft costs to own.

Vendor and fuel program coordination

We manage the vendors your aircraft depends on, including fuel programs, detailing, parts and outside services, and we review the bills before they reach you.

Hangar and storage

Hangar and storage for your aircraft at our facility on Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport.

Acquisition-to-resale support

Our sales and brokerage team is part of the same company, so we can help you buy your next aircraft and sell or trade this one when the time comes.

Maintenance backed by our own shop and authorizations

Hancock Aviation opened its own maintenance shop in 2019, bringing airframe, engine and avionics work in-house. Today the shop is led by Vice President of Service Dan Lane. Our shop provides full-service maintenance on jets, turboprops and pistons, from Cherokees and Bonanzas to Citation Sovereigns and Falcon 50s, and AOG and line maintenance support for Challengers, Globals and Gulfstreams.

Managed aircraft also get direct access to the programs we are authorized for:

  • HondaJet owners: Hancock Aviation is a Honda Aircraft Authorized Service Center Delegate through Banyan Air Service, offering factory-approved maintenance such as 150-hour and 300-hour scheduled inspections, ELT and battery capacity checks, tire and brake replacements, avionics troubleshooting and upgrades, and AOG support.
  • Turboprop owners: We are an authorized Blackhawk dealer and installation center for Blackhawk engine upgrades.
  • King Air, PC-12, CJ2, CJ3, CJ4 and M2 owners: We are an authorized dealer and installation center for the IS&S ThrustSense Autothrottle.
  • Piston owners: We are an Approved SureFly Installation Specialist for SureFly electronic ignition.
  • Older aircraft with R-12 air conditioning: We are a dealer for Steinbach & Associates ConversionAir kits, which convert R-12 systems to R-134a.

One team from acquisition through ownership to resale

Hancock Aviation has handled aircraft sales and acquisitions since 2015. Because the same company can help you buy the aircraft, manage and maintain it, and eventually sell it, nothing gets lost between steps. The records we keep during ownership are the records a buyer will ask for, and our brokerage team knows your aircraft’s history from day one.

  • Buying: We help you find and evaluate the right aircraft for your mission and bring it into management on day one.
  • Owning: We manage and maintain it while you fly it.
  • Selling: When it is time to sell or trade up, our brokerage team markets the aircraft with its full history in hand.
