Summer Aviation Experience Program (High School Students)

Program Overview

Hancock Aviation is offering a limited, paid Summer Aviation Experience Program designed to introduce high school students to the aviation industry.

This program provides hands-on exposure to multiple areas of aviation, including aircraft maintenance, operations, and business management. Participants will gain real-world insight into how an aviation company operates on a daily basis.

Program Details

Duration: June through July (6–8 weeks)
Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday
Hours: Approximately 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Open Positions: 2 students only

What You’ll Experience

Participants will rotate through different areas of the business, including:

Aircraft Maintenance Exposure
- Observe inspections and maintenance activities
- Assist with basic shop organization and tasks
Operations & Business
- Learn how work orders and maintenance tracking function
- Gain insight into parts sourcing and logistics
Industry Overview
- Aircraft walk-throughs
- Exposure to aircraft sales and management
- Discussions with aviation professionals

Who Should Apply

We are looking for students who are:

Current high school juniors or seniors (exceptional sophomores may be considered)
Interested in aviation, mechanics, or business
Reliable, punctual, and respectful
Willing to learn and ask questions in a professional environment

No prior aviation experience is required.

Expectations

Maintain a professional attitude and appearance
Follow all safety guidelines in the shop environment
Be engaged and attentive
Limit phone use during working hours
